Our client SKF is a fast growing global bearing and seal manufacturing company with its headquarters based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Their expertise is the development and production of bearings, seals and lubrication systems. SKF employs approximately 41.000 employees in 140 production facilities in more than 30 countries and has presence in over 100 countries around the world. Therewith it is one of the largest worldwide producers and distributors in their specific category.

SKF BV in the Netherlands exists of several units as SKF Research and Technology Development (RTD), SKF Industrial Sales Benelux, SKF Maintenance & Power Transmission, SKF Lubrication Systems, SKF Marine, SKF Energy Industries and supporting departments such as Finance, HR, Facility and Services.

For this challenging and innovative (matrix) organization we are searching for a highly effective Finance Country Lead & Business Controller who can play a pivotal role in the development of the company. This position has a double role: you are the Finance Country Lead for the SKF BV in the Netherlands and therefore you are statutory responsible for the deposit of annual figures, audits, transfer pricing agreements, finance systems & processes as well as policies and procedures on a country level. On the other hand you are the business controller for the RTD organization (cost centre) and you therewith play a key role as an RTD management team member from a financial perspective. As business controller RTD, you will initiate and drive the realization of research investments, support the management of the research portfolio and ensure financial compliance of the unit according to SKF’s global finance process.

Position within the organisation

The Finance Country Lead & Business Controller reports directly to the RTD Director. You are part of the RTD Management Team as well as the SKF BV Management Team.

Main goals of the position

• A finance business partner to the SKF BV Management Team and the RTD Management Team;

• Enabling RTD management to analyse and understand the financial impact of their decision making;

• Managing day-to-day financial activities for both RTD as well as SKF B.V.

Profile

We are searching for a culture- and organizational sensitive finance professional with drive, strong business acumen and strong analytical business control skills. You understand what is required while leading and influencing a network in a global organization and you are experienced in statutory responsibilities.

• You hold a BSc or MSc Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Accounting;

• A minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role with a minimum of 3 years of management experience;

• Fluent in both Dutch and English, verbally and in writing.
