Due to the growth of the company the Regulatory Affairs department is searching for a new colleague who wants to be part of this exciting journey in a truly global, diverse and inclusive environment.

This position provides an outstanding opportunity for the successful candidate to play a critical role in regulatory affairs within a rapidly expanding global playfield in food, feed and alcoholic beverages among others. Besides, this position provides a great role for a Regulatory Manager who has a combination of significant technical knowledge and expertise in the food industry and a thorough understanding of global food law and regulations. 
In this position you will be part of the newly established Global IP & Regulatory team which is part of the R&D department and you will actively contribute to the growth of a fast-developing technology-led company. This position offers significant growth within the role, giving the opportunity to make a difference in a competitive industry by managing both regulatory protection as well as regulatory opportunities for the business. We are searching for a pro-active, culture- and organizational sensitive regulatory affairs expert who understands what is required to build and influence a network in a global organization.

You believe the area of regulatory affairs is an opportunity and not a threat. You will attribute to the expansion of the regulatory competence model with knowledge on:
 

  • Understanding the product portfolio (including applications) and ability to identify effectively and communicate opportunities arising from changing regulations;
  • Preparing and managing submissions for approval of new ingredients and products. Can negotiate with relevant regulatory authorities for market authorisation;
  • Contribute to developing and implement regulatory strategy and processes that are aligned to overall business goals and objectives;
  • Representing the business on relevant scientific and regulatory panels, and trade associations;
  • Developing and leveraging a regulatory network including suppliers, customers, local authorities, trade associations, committees, scientific institutes, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), etc.

You bring:

  • .A minimum of a B.Sc. degree in a life-sciences discipline e.g., food science, biotechnology, chemical technology or microbiology;
  • At least 10 years’ career experience in managing regulatory affairs in a complex, global company in the food industry; including the active participation in trade associations;
  • An existing network of contacts or experience in working with Regulatory (National) Authorities will be an advantage;
  • Experienced in the development domain within food science, biotechnology or similar;
  • Fluent in English (verbally and written);
  • Highly competent IT literacy and understanding of business systems and collaborative technologies;
  • Due to the global nature of the company and the offered position, you need to be flexible regarding working hours;
  • Willing to travel internationally when needed.


A 4-day working week can be discussed in this position.
