Organization 
Ducor Petrochemicals B.V. (Botlek Rotterdam) specializes in the production of polypropylene raw materials (granules), and the marketing of polypropylene and polyethylene produced in-house and by the parent company. Ducor is a medium-sized operation running 24/7, producing raw materials for various industries. Ducor characterizes itself as an informal, flat organization with short lines of communication where no two days are the same. In total, there are 100 permanent employees working at the plant in Rozenburg, and approximately 40 hired FTE on a daily basis. Ducor Petrochemicals is part of an international listed company. 


Main goal of the position
Executing and implementing HR operations in such a way that they are aligned with the objectives of the department and the organization, while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. It is important to emphasize that the ultimate HR responsibility lies with each individual department. 

The position 
Ducor is an expanding and evolving organization. The HR department plays a key role in guiding and supporting employees through this transition. The HR Business Partner holds a pivotal position in this process, serving as the primary point of contact within HR. He/she maintains frequent contact with colleagues in the field, addressing various questions from managers and employees, provides both solicited and unsolicited advice, assists with HR issues, and oversees recruitment processes (or manages the temporary recruiter). As an HR Business Partner, you must effectively support members of the Management Team and managers in implementing HR policies and reassure the HR Manager with assurance that departmental processes are properly executed and managed. 

The profile 

  • a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, in a relevant field, such as Human Resources or Business Engineering;
  • at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in a 24/7 production environment;
  • knowledge of HR Information Systems;
  • familiarity of Social Legislation;
  • proficiency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
  • full-time availability;
  • personal qualities: people skills, analytical, hands-on, pragmatic, process oriented, adept at switching between strategy and operations.

Procedure
There will be several interview rounds with representatives from Lodiers & Partners as well as with Ducor Petrochemicals. A personality questionnaire (Lumina) is part of this procedure.
