Our client Netafim is the worldwide market leader in precision irrigation solutions for a sustainable future. The organization has 31 subsidiaries and 17 production plants around the world and about 5.500 people are working for this amazing company. Netafim has an extensive part of the manufacturing of irrigation solutions into their own production. Wherever possible improvements or enhancements are made to existing products and new innovations are added. Quality, innovation and knowledge: the three factors of success! Netafim Netherlands (110 fte) is placed in the Geographic Business Unit (GBU) North Europe, along with Netafim UK (12 fte) and activities in e.g. Scandinavia. Netafim Netherlands is an importer/wholesaler and producer of a complete product portfolio containing all sort of irrigation products. Grow more with less. The company is headquartered in Maasdijk and has a production plant in Rucphen. 

Key to success are the people! The HR Manager develops and manages HR policies and services which support the overall strategy of the company. This position involves operational, tactical and strategic matters. Next to all common HR related subjects the HR Manager will focus on further organisational development and leadership development.  
The HR Manager has a direct report to the Managing Director Netafim North Europe (in Maasdijk) and has a strong dotted line to the People Director of EMEA. The HR Manager is also part of the Global People Team with peers and counterparts supporting other Netafim subsidiaries. The HR Team in the Netherlands consists of 1 HR Officer and 1 HR Assistant. The role includes international HR responsibilities.

Objectives and responsibilities
•    Drive local HR strategy and demonstrate functional excellence in talent
      management, staffing, performance management, organization
      development, compensation and employee relations, taking business
      priorities and the global People strategy into account.
•    Train your Team and support them in expanding their role and career
      development.
•    Partner with your peers in People Function to develop Divisional / cross
     Unit projects  
•    Support the integration between Corporate, sister companies and local
     Units.
•    Partner with the leadership team to understand the business, drive
     employee engagement and organizational alignment, and promote
     development of employees’ skills and competences.
•    Provide input, adapt and implement corporate HR policies coming from
      the headquarters in Israel and from Orbia while matching corporate and
      local needs.
•    Coach the local leadership team ensuring that they are delivering on their
     purpose and inspiring their teams.
•    Represent local management in labor relations, including the negotiation,
     interpretation, and administration of collective bargaining agreements
     and/or works council requirements.
•    Create a pleasant working environment by providing resources and tools
      that contribute to happiness in the workplace. 
•    Functioning as a business partner to the MDs and the management team.

Required Characteristics and Abilities
•    BA or MA in Human Resources or related field
•    2-5 years proven HR experience in a multi-national setting,
•    Prior experience in working with senior management required
•    Flexible self-starter; combining high intellect with a hands-on approach
•    up to date knowledge of labor relations, compensation & benefits and 
     ‘Wet op de Ondernemingsraad’
•    Able to communicate effectively with management and employees and
     comfortable presenting programs to employee groups and members of 
     senior management
•    taskmaster, experienced in structuring HR and managing change
•    team player, able to influence people and build successful international
     and cross-functional teams
•    integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, sensitivity and cultural awareness
•    outstanding communication skills in Dutch and English
•    experience with manufacturing sites would be beneficial
