Job
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance department (IJmuiden and Botlek) and guide them through current organisational changes and optimalizations according to future Linde Gas guidelines and requirements. 
In your role, you are focused on further professionalizing maintenance, with the aim of being a reliable partner that delivers efficient, effective, safe, and maximum maintenance effort, thereby continuously improving the performance of installations and support for production.
You are responsible for maintenance at both the IJmuiden and Botlek sites, providing direction to 21 permanent staff members, supplemented by approximately 14 temporary workers. You have 6 direct reports and also oversee the contractors. Your goal is to elevate Maintenance to a higher level. This entails a completely new approach to maintenance. You will create a plan for this, implement it, and ensure that it is future-proof. In the day-to-day situation you focus on controlling the planned maintenance process (both preventive and planned corrective maintenance).

Responsibilities
Contribute to further development of the sites by taking maintenance and your team to the next level;

  • accountable for delivering and executing a continuous improvement program;
  • defining the maintenance plan both long term strategic, as short term within the agreed budgets and timelines (Capex/Opex);
  • execute annual and monthly maintenance plans in alignment with the operations plan and turn around programs and special projects;
  • challenging, coaching and motivating your team and ensure that maintenance targets are realized in line with business objectives;
  • correct implementation and compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding safety and the environment; 
  • forecasting and managing resource capacity needs on both short and long-term scales, including potentially engaging or managing third-party/external parties; 
  • facilitating various audits and ensuring successful completion;
  • responsible for preparing accident and incident reports;
  • you put maintenance on the agenda!


Your profile

  • you have a Bachelor degree preferably a chemical or technical direction;
  • at least seven years of relevant maintenance/turnaround management experience with a track record of managing a team or complex projects within a production environment, preferably within a (petro)chemical or oil & gas organisation; 
  • experienced in working with a 24x7x365 production;
  • good knowledge of modern production processes and quality management systems within the chemical industry, accompanied with good understanding of EHS needs and regulations;
  • fluency in Dutch and English;
  • analytically and numerically proficient;
  • a people manager who knows how to connect and outshine colleagues, having a proactive and hands on mentality and has excellent strategic skills;
  • the ability to face new challenges and actively contribute to the success of the company's digital transformation project;
  • you are able to collect, interpret and use data effectively, driving digital transformation.
