Hitachi Construction Machinery is searching for a Senior Manager Business Transformation experienced in driving large-scale transformation initiatives and innovations in a manufacturing environment. This position will preferably be based in Amsterdam, with the possibility to work on a hybrid basis. For international candidates, a relocation allowance can be provided, along with support in finding accommodation in the Amstelveen/Amsterdam area.
Main goal of the position
The Senior Manager Business Transformation works closely together with the Vice President of Business Transformation and cross-functional leaders to identify, plan, and execute strategic projects that improve operational efficiency, accelerate growth, and support the company’s long-term goals. You will act as a change agent, ensuring that initiatives are effectively managed and aligned with organizational objectives that relate to the entire organization. For example: improving the factory production process based on customer-focused strategies (enabling dealers to focus on service), digitalisation, ERP implementation and strategic workforce development.
The position
The Senior Manager Business Transformation reports to the VP Business Transformation and works closely together with the other Senior Manager Business Transformation and three project officers for general support in project management.
You are a key partner to the VP of Business Transformation, shaping and executing strategies that align with the company’s vision. By supporting initiatives like the Mid-term Management Plan and Business Strategy meetings, you ensure big ideas become tangible results.
You are excellent in overseeing multiple transformation projects, you make sure milestones are delivered on time, budgets stay on track, and resources are used effectively.
Your strength lies in bringing people together. By working closely with stakeholders from various departments, you build and guide cross-functional teams that deliver meaningful results.
You thrive in change. Preparing the organization for transformation, you ease resistance and ensure smooth transitions for all involved. Your strategies foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
The profile
• experience in Business Administration, Management, or a related field;
• minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business transformation, management consulting, or a similar leadership role, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects;
• demonstrated experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives within a corporate and/or production environment;
• project management knowledge, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time and within budget;
• data-driven mindset with a strong analytical ability to assess performance metrics, KPIs, and financial impacts;
• interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization;
• ability to think strategically and execute operationally, with a strong attention to detail;
• strong communication (English), analytical and project management skills;
• basic knowledge of project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project Jira).
Procedure
There will be several interview rounds (week 9 & 10) with representatives from Lodiers & Partners and with our client (week 12). A personality questionnaire (Lumina) is part of this application process.
