Vervuld - Site Director - Emerald Kalama Chemical

Our client Emerald Performance Materials is a global manufacturer in the petrochemical industry. The organization produces and markets technologically advanced specialty chemicals for a broad range of industrial applications. Emerald products are used in aerospace, food, beverages, cosmetics, toothpaste, household products, paint, tires, automobiles, sports gear and many other applications. About 700 employees are involved on plants all over the world. The Rotterdam site (150 fte) is looking for a Site Director to take full responsibility of its manufacturing operations.

The Position

The Site Director is responsible to develop and execute the manufacturing strategy for the site as part of the global strategy, in order to meet HSE, Quality, S&OP and Cost & Capital targets, creating/maintaining a leadership position in cost/ton, by directing and leading the site organization. He/She is responsible for managing the Rotterdam Site and guide them through current organizational changes according to future company guidelines and requirements. The Site Management Team, led by the Site Director, consists of the Director HR, Manager HSSE, European Financial Controller, Manager Manufacturing, Manager Maintenance and Manager Engineering.The Site Director reports to the VP Global Manufacturing.

The Profile

The ideal candidate has an educational background (bachelor/master) in chemical engineering and will have at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience within the chemical industry. He/she has already managed a manufacturing operation in an international environment. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid track record of dealing with HSSE considerations and initiatives (in particular BRZO and Food Safety).
