Heras Benelux is a sizeable, project-driven organisation within perimeter protection, combining sales, installation, service operations, production and supply chain activities. The organisation is predominantly active in the Netherlands, with limited activities in Belgium and Luxembourg, and employs approximately 600 people. As part of the international Heras Group (800 million in sales), the organisation combines a pragmatic local culture with the professionalism and performance focus of an international, private equity-backed group. With approximately €105 million in Benelux sales, Heras Benelux operates in a technically complex environment and is preparing for its next phase of growth, performance improvement and organisational transformation.
Main goal of the position
The CFO will build a stronger financial foundation for Heras Benelux. The role focuses on finance leadership, business partnering, performance improvement, team development and transformation, with a clear contribution to margin improvement, project profitability, forecasting discipline and value creation.
The position
The CFO Benelux acts as a trusted business partner to the CEO Benelux and the Executive Leadership Team, while also working closely with group finance and shareholder-related stakeholders. The first-year agenda includes stabilising and strengthening the finance organisation, improving performance management and contributing to the ERP transformation. The CFO owns financial performance across accounting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow and working capital management. A key priority is improving margin insight, project profitability and cost control in a project-based business model, while ensuring strong governance, compliance, internal controls and reliable reporting.
The profile
- proven experience as CFO or in a comparable senior finance leadership role, preferably in a private equity-backed organization;
- strong background in finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cost control, cash flow and working capital management;
- experience in construction, technical services, installation, service and/or production environments;
- understanding project control, Work in Progress(WIP), revenue recognition and service contracts;
- experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central;
- demonstrated M&A experience, including due diligence, transaction execution and post-acquisition integration;
- strategic business partner who can translate financial data into actionable business insights;
- hands-on, analytical and improvement-oriented, with a strong focus on accountability, ownership and value creation;
- fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Procedure
There will be several interview rounds with representatives from Lodiers & Partners in weeks 40/41 and with Heras in week 42. A personality assessment (Lumina) and a financial business case presentation are part of the selection process.
