PENKO Engineering, located in Ede, has been part of ETC since 2004. ETC is an international, employee-owned business and a leading developer and manufacturer of professional entertainment lighting systems. The global organisation combines technical innovation, quality and customer focus with an informal, collaborative culture. PENKO Engineering employs approximately 45 people across production, sales and customer service. The site is transitioning towards assembly and distribution for ETC customers throughout Europe and expects substantial growth in revenue, activities and headcount.
Main goal of the position
The main objective is to scale PENKO Engineering’s Dutch operation into a future-proof European hub. The emphasis will be on visible operational leadership, guiding the production and supply chain transition, strengthening operational excellence and developing teams in line with the planned growth.
The position
As General Manager Netherlands, you will hold full P&L responsibility for PENKO Engineering and lead production, supply chain, logistics, sales and customer service. You translate ETC’s international strategy into clear priorities and concrete results for the Dutch operation. Visible and approachable on site, you create clarity, structure and ownership while building an accountable, collaborative culture. You guide the transition towards a scalable assembly and distribution hub and ensure that processes, systems and capabilities develop in line with ambitious growth plans. Together with the management team, you strengthen operational excellence, supply chain performance and customer service. You coach and develop employees, attract new talent where needed and safeguard engagement throughout the change process. Within ETC’s international matrix, you build strong relationships and support local priorities. You maintain a clear focus on customers, people, quality and results. Regular travel to ETC locations in Europe and the United States is part of the role.
The profile
- higher professional education level;
- demonstrable experience in leading a technically oriented manufacturing organization, with final responsibility, preferably including full P&L accountability;
- strong operational and business insight, with the ability to connect strategy and execution;
- experience with change, growth and further professionalization of teams and processes;
- visible, hands-on leadership style and natural presence on the shop floor;
- strong people management skills and the ability to engage, develop and empower teams;
- customer-focused, responsible and ownership-driven;
- strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and improvement-oriented mindset;
- fluent in Dutch and English.
Procedure
There will be several interview rounds with representatives from Lodiers & Partners (week 38 and 39) and with our client (week 42). A personality questionnaire (Lumina) is part of this procedure.
