The Walraven Group, headquartered in Mijdrecht, is an internationally operating family-owned company with own production and sales offices in 20+ countries. Their Pipe Fixing Systems, Rail Support Systems, Anchor & Fastener Systems, Accessories, Fire Protection Systems, Sanitary Systems and Aerofoam, are used by installation companies all over the world. About 1,400 employees work at Walraven worldwide (160 in Mijdrecht). The Walraven Group has eight production facilities and ten warehouses in Europe, with modern machines often designed in-house. Each production facility has its own specialisms, which allows products to be manufactured in the most efficient manner possible. Almost all their tooling and moulds are produced in their own tool making facility. Walraven manages the entire process, from concept to manufacturing, and can quickly respond to developments in the market.

Walraven aims to become the preferred solution partner for integrated solutions in the global installation market. But they are not there yet and untill then you will supervise, optimize and finally  transform the Dutch production facility  to integrated solutions. For the Turkish, Spanish and British mass production sites you ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Next to this ‘daily business’ you are a sparringpartner in defining and implementing the new concept. You will drive and steer the continuous improvement process (LEAN) and eventually quide your teams in the transformation to integrated solutions. You will contribute to the design and implementation phase of new products, working closely with Product Management and Sales, and drives innovation for the plant, improving quality and cost price for the products. You develop the team and you are a true bridgebuilder between production and commercial. 


  • representation of Manufacturing within the MT EU;
  • P&L for the plants under scope of responsibility;
  • the transformation to integrated solutions.

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, BA or similar;
  • minimum five years’ experience in an Operational Management leadership Directors role and relevant international experience in a comparable complex (technical) Manufacturing and Warehouse environment; 
  • strategic competence, takes a holistic view and is able to translate this pragmatically;
  • experience to transform an organization and proven experience in leading, maintaining and optimisation of complex productions processes (strong Supply Chain knowledge);
  • strong knowledge and experience with WCM elements, TPM, LEAN and/or Six Sigma; 
  • affinity with Sales organisations (networker);
  • people Manager, strong motivator, enthusiastic, positive, energetic and excellent coaching skills;
  • a real bridge builder!
