Our client, Huntsman Corporation, is a publicly traded global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals. The chemical products number are in the thousands and are sold worldwide to manufacturers serving a broad and diverse range of consumer and industrial end markets. Huntsman operates more than 100 manufacturing and R&D facilities in approximately 30 countries and employs approximately 9.500 associates, 350 in the Netherlands. Huntsman Holland offers a complete range of solutions for several applications, such as Adhesives, Coatings and Elastomers, Automotive, Bedding & furniture, Composite wood products, Footwear, Insulation, Intermediates and Thermoplastic polyurethanes.

We are asked to search for a Senior Operations Manager for the Dutch site (three plants) in Rozenburg. We are looking for someone with ambition and vision who can drive change within operations, but also within the Management Team and the rest of the organisation. A strategic thinker, driven and ambitious, a real transformational leader.

Position

‍The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for the definition and delivery of long-term site operational strategy and the implementation of a new organisational structure across the site. Through effective direct leadership of Plant and Training teams across multiple assets, you will also be a key part of the European S&OP group to improve plant performance, drive OTIF targets and develop a progressive and agile culture on site to achieve strategic site and business goals. You will be reporting to, and deputising for, the European Operations Director, you are part of the Site Leadership team which consists of EHS, Maintenance, Turnaround Manager, Finance/Controller, Project & capex, process engineering support manager and transformation officer (PMO).

Profile

‍The ideal candidate is graduated in an appropriate technical discipline with considerable experience in a Site Management or Operations Leadership capacity within the Chemicals sector. You do have a demonstratable track record in the effective development of teams at multiple levels of an organisation. You can drive a high-performance working culture with successful talent development initiatives. You are successful in sustainable change management with the ability to lead a successful yet adaptable leadership vision. You have a passion for continuous improvement culture and processes with an optimistic approach to problem solving. You have good knowledge of modern production processes and quality management systems within a high hazard manufacturing operation, accompanied with good understanding of EHS needs and regulations. You are fluency in Dutch and English and comfortable working in an international business environment.
